Ben Walker is an artist and illustrator living in Fair Oaks, California. His paintings of bears with guns, singing cowboys, flying machine operators, and other odd inhabitants of The Old West have shown in galleries throughout The U.S.. Walker is also the creator of an alternative life drawing studio called Pompsicle where artists gather to draw from costumed models and "real life characters" like furries, roller-girls, and break dancers.
Walker's passion for art took off while in Junior High school. He spent much of his free time copying from comic books. In his teens Walker moved on to making and distributing his own underground-ish comics.
During the 1990's Walker worked as a graphic designer for various software companies, creating interactive Flash cartoons, illustrations and interface graphics. When the technology bubble burst Ben realized he had gotten too far from his true passion; Drawing and painting. He enrolled at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. He came out with a BFA in Traditional Animation and Illustration.
